What we do:
A Growing Need: Wild Bird Rescue began as an effort to provide a place for the public to bring injured, sick and orphaned birds. There is a tremendous need for this service. Each year, the public brings in between 600 and 1000 birds with a larger, more accessible facility, this number is expected to climb.
Service to the Community: Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. works diligently to provide the community with humane solutions to wild bird problems. Our volunteers rescue sick, injured and orphaned birds, rehabilitate them, and then release the birds back into their natural habitats. We accept sick, injured and orphaned wild birds from the Humane Society, Animal Control, Texas Parks and Wildlife, veterinarians and the public.
Not for Profit: Wild Bird Rescue is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that operates within state and federal laws governing wild birds and wildlife rehabilitation. We do not receive financial aid from any federal, state or local government agency. We operate entirely on the donations from generous people like you.
