Archive for the 'Friends of WBR' Category
This is a new category to our website. My intent here is to list various organizations that do the same kind of work as Wild Bird Rescue. As WBR grows, so will our list of friends. Hopefully, when you need help with a wild animal in your area, you will be able to find it here. Most of these groups have emergency hot-lines for wildlife related assistance.
I will shorten discriptions to older listings as I add new ones. This will keep this page from getting too large and hopefully making it easier for you to find what you need. Bob

25 Feb: I recently received a very interesting email from a former “nuisance wildlife operator”. He has developed two websites. One is dedicated to removing raccoons from your attic and the other is dedicated to removing squirrels from your attic. What makes these two websites different from companies that trap wildlife is his genuine concern to use the most humane way to remove the animals AND for the babies that most home owners and companies leave behind to starve to death. If you have raccoons or squirrels in your attic, these are the websites to visit; www.raccoonatticguide.com and www.squirrel-attic.com .
He is also developing a website to help people find wildlife rehabilitators close to them. It is a new site and the list is short, but hopefully will continue to grow. www.wildliferehabilitators.org If you are a rehab organization, please consider having your site added.
